The Megger MFT1735 Multifunction Tester, a new entrant in the renowned MFT1700 series, is engineered for a wide range of electrical installation testing tasks. It effortlessly caters to the needs of domestic, commercial, and industrial settings and complies with both Part P testing applications and 17th Edition guidelines.

Enhancing the features of its predecessor, the MFT1730, the MFT1735 boasts TRMS AC/DC supply measurement and an automatic continuity test. It performs insulation resistance tests ranging from 100V to 1kV and offers both low and high current loop test options, including the unique 2-wire low current anti-trip test. For RCD testing, it covers a range from 10mA to 1000mA and includes RCD Ramp testing, as well as the capability to conduct B type RCD tests.

The MFT1735 stands out with its variety of earth testing options, such as 2 pole, 3 pole, ART (Attached Rod Technique), and Stakeless methods. These methods allow testing without disconnecting the utility earth supply, enhancing safety and eliminating the need for supply isolation, thus saving substantial costs in potential production downtime.

This tester is not just versatile in function but also in data management. It enables the storage of test results in a multi-layer memory and facilitates easy download through Bluetooth. However, the Megger Powersuite software is essential to utilize these download and Bluetooth transfer features.

The Megger MFT1735 has comprehensive earth testing capabilities that make it a game-changer in electrical installation testing, capable of assessing various systems including primary and secondary electrical earth, utility pole earth, lightning protection, and more. For ART testing, the Megger iClamp is necessary, and for Stakeless testing, both the iClamp and VClamp are required.
